Coding in python

 LI:To learn to code the microbot in python 

This first one shows the Python coding for a flashing heart. It flashes between a small heart icon and a large heart icon. The main thing to notice between the Python coding and the blocks is that the forever loop is at the top and bottom of the content in both.

For this example for coding the buttons, the main thing to notice is the "def" which is defining what the on_button_pressed will make the microbit do. Again this has a top and bottom so the content has to go inside it.

Rock Paper Sizzors

 LI:To learn how to code microbots to play rock paper sizzors and understond how to use a flow chart.

1. When I shake the microbit, it will choose a random number between 1 and 3
2. I have to make a variable called hand and set this to the random number
3. If the number is 1 - the microbit will show the symbol for paper
4. If the number is 2 - the microbit will show the symbol for rock 
5. If the number is 3 - the microbit will show the symbol for scissors

Tech Wood Work

 LI: To plan out our wood work.

Today for wood tech we were  seeing what we are going to make. i am making  a M&M dispenser i first made sure i got my wood and paper then i made sure that i measure my  wood. Then i started to draw what i think my M&M dispenser  would look like.  This was fun and cool to make my M&M dispenser 

Tech

 LI:To learn how to make a angle with wood.

Today was the first day of tech for the year 7&8. The year 7 had food tech and the year 8 had wood work.

For wood work we were talking with our wood work teacher about how we use the tools. Then we went to our seats and he was talking to us about the rules in his class ans the rules were not to fiddle with the equipment. Then we were talking about what we are going make with our wood. After that we all got a paper to draw what we want to make with the wood. Then Mr Grundy  our wood work teacher told us that when we are drawing what we are going to make to make sure that there is a angle in what we are drawing. 

 

Tech Reflection

 LI: To identify what we know about science

Today for Tech we had science with Mrs Sharma. First we got new booklets from Mrs  Sharma.        and on our booklets we wrote what we think science is and if we have a question that we would say to a scientist then we got A3 paper. After that we folded our  A3 paper into quarters then we wrote the most science words we can write in 2 minutes . Then we drawled a picture of what we think scientists do there that we got photos of and we picked one each and after that we wrote about what the photo is about.

Food Technology

LI: To learn knife skills.

Today for Tech we had food technology with Mrs Heka. We made a colorful fruit salad to help us learn knife skills. We used yellow and green kiwi fruit, grapes, orange and a layer of yoghurt. First we removed the skin from the fruit then we diced the fruit. Then we got some cups and put the fruit in the cups, then we poured some yogurt over the fruit and made layers. It was fun and delicious.
